For international brands, sampling is a critical step before mass‑order placement. It verifies dimensions, material, print color and finishing effects, and prevents costly unexpected issues in bulk production. Many buyers confuse digital proof and physical sample, which easily leads to misunderstanding.
Two Main Sample Types
-
Digital proof Fast turnaround within 1‑3 working days. Only graphic output without real post‑press finishes. Good for checking layout, logo position and text, but cannot show hot stamping, UV, lamination or board stiffness.
-
Physical hand‑made sample Made with paper similar or identical to bulk‑order material. Hand‑processed with die‑cutting, hot stamping, lamination and inner inserts. You can truly test box stiffness, texture, color and assembly effect. It is the most reliable reference before placing mass order. Sampling lead‑time is usually 5‑10 working days.
Important Notes
- Sample fee will be charged. It can be deducted against your bulk order according to our agreement.
- Shipping cost for samples is borne by the buyer.
- Mass production starts only after sample confirmation. Any revision at sampling stage will reset lead‑time and may generate extra cost.
- Complex structure, special material or spot‑color printing will extend sampling time.
VVB Packaging provides both digital proofs and physical hand‑made samples, and keeps you updated throughout the sampling phase. We highly recommend overseas buyers to approve physical samples before bulk production to lower cross‑border sourcing risks.
